We started Galaxy because the people in this province deserved a brokerage that understood them — their work, their families, the language they think in.
Why we started Galaxy.
Our founders spent years building a loyal client base inside a larger brokerage. The clients kept coming back, but the model around them was changing — fewer phone calls returned, more pressure to push the carrier of the month, less time for the conversations that actually mattered.
So in 2025 the three of us left to do this the way it should be done: independent, personal, and grounded in the community we already lived in.
Manitoba's South Asian community had been telling us the same thing for years — they could find someone to sell them a policy, but rarely someone who could explain it in Punjabi or Hindi without losing the meaning. That gap is the reason Galaxy exists.
Today more than 25 licensed brokers work under the Galaxy name across three offices, and the standard has not moved: a real person who knows your file, in the language you think in.

CAIB (Canadian Accredited Insurance Broker) and CIP (Chartered Insurance Professional) are senior designations from the Insurance Brokers Association and the Insurance Institute of Canada. Every partner who leads Galaxy holds both, and every broker on our team is licensed by the Insurance Council of Manitoba.
Independent
No carrier owns us. No bank owns us. No head office in another province sets our targets. We are owned by the three brokers whose names are on the door.
Multilingual
There is someone who speaks English, Hindi and Punjabi at every one of our offices, every day we are open.
Credentialed
Our three partners hold both the CAIB and CIP — the senior designations in Canadian brokerage — and every broker on the team is licensed by the Insurance Council of Manitoba.
Open Seven Days
Between our three offices we are open every day of the week, including Sunday afternoons at Polaris Place.

We insure the people we live alongside.
The brokers who started Galaxy grew up in these neighbourhoods, and most of the families we insure live in them too. So we sponsor the community events our clients bring their kids to, we answer to the people we run into at the grocery store, and we treat a renewal as a conversation rather than a transaction. It is a slower way to build a brokerage. It is the only way worth doing.

Three languages, one standard of care
Every policy is explained the same way in English, Hindi and Punjabi. Nothing is lost in translation, and nobody gets the shorter version.
Advice before a sale
If you do not need a coverage, we tell you. Selling somebody only what they need is how a brokerage keeps a client for twenty years instead of one.
